Give the gift of play! Your donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of Ventura youth.
The City of Ventura offers over 1,000 recreation, sports, arts, and enrichment classes and camps each year. Many of our local residents cannot afford to participate in these programs. Even a small class fee is beyond their reach. The Ventura Plays Scholarship Fund provides low-income families with the opportunity to enroll their children in city camps and classes where they can explore their interests, learn new skills, and have fun in a positive and supportive environment.

Adopt-a-Box Art Program
Help local artists transform utility boxes into colorful works of public art.
Through the Adopt-a-Box Program, the City of Ventura’s Parks & Recreation Department works with local artists, students, and community members to transform utility boxes into art.

Urban Forest (Trees)
Support the City’s urban forest.
The City of Ventura’s Parks & Recreation Department manages the City’s urban forest in public parks, streetways, and easements including tree planting, pruning, and removal. Trees help to reduce air and water pollution, can improve physical and mental health, and strengthen social connections.
Your donation helps maintain and expand the City’s urban forest.
Past Projects
Generous donations through the Ventura Community Partners Foundation helped make the following projects a reality.
Arroyo Verde Park – Inclusive Play Area
Designed by Pacific Coast Land Design in alignment with the community’s vision, the City of Ventura’s first fully inclusive play area for youth of all abilities includes a colorful play surface; new landscaping; gathering areas; swings; hammocks; balance beams; a sensory garden; a motion-inclusive carousel; embankment climbers; and music play areas. It also features a sensory wall with recognition tiles dedicated to those who donated to the project.

Kellogg Park
Designed by Pacific Coast Land Design in alignment with the community’s vision, the City of Ventura’s multigenerational park includes: a playground area for ages 2-12 with a nature and adventure focus; restrooms; a walking path; outdoor fitness equipment; a stone amphitheater; bike racks; picnic tables; permanent cornhole stations; drought tolerant, grassy play area/open space; 1.75 acres of native plantings; swales, and a water catchment system.
